Peepli live Promos

Peepli Live is a forthcoming Bollywood film which is produced by Aamir Khan Productions. Directed and written by Anusha Rizvi in his first venture as director, the film stars Naya Theatre company member Manikpuri Omkar Das and Raghubir Yadav, Siddiqui Nawazuddin and Malaika Shenoy.
Peepli Live competes in the Sundance Film Festival, the first Bollywood film to accomplish this feat. However, for the launch of the Indian film has a "certificate of an adult." The film has been acquired by the German distribution company Rapid Eye Movies specialties for a special screening at the Berlin International Film Festival today.

On the eve of national elections in the Indian village of Peepli, two poor peasants, Natha and Budhia, face losing their land over an unpaid government loan. In desperation, seeking the help of a local politician apathetic, suggesting suicide to benefit from a government program that helps families of deceased farmers indebted. When a reporter hears Natha Budhia urge to "do what needs to be done" for the sake of their families, a media frenzy over whether or not Natha swells will crash.
